The Benefits of Reflexology During Pregnancy and Labour.

Reflexology works by applying pressure to different parts of the feet which reflexologists believe correspond to different organs and parts in the body. It’s an extremely relaxing treatment and my clients often say they feel ‘lighter, extremely relaxed and they often experience a better quality of sleep’

Pregnancy reflexology can offer relief from swollen and aching feet, it’s also a great way to help prepare the body for birth and depending on the needs of my client I tailor the treatment to help with  pregnancy issues such as insomnia, heartburn, constipation, back pain, morning sickness and to relieve stress.

If you have gone over your due date and are worried about having to be induced, reflexology techniques are used to stimulate the uterus and cervix and encourage the body to produce oxytocin which can help you go into labour naturally.

Lastly, once you’ve had your baby…..you may be feeling overwhelmed, tired and your body also needs time to recover. If you’d like a treatment in these early weeks, the baby can often join in and be cuddled by you whilst you relax and have reflexology from the comfort of your home.

If you have any questions or would like to book a treatment please get in touch. I am offering 20% off for first treatments to Mother Space group.
