Whether you are in hospital still or have recently arrived home, receiving breastfeeding support in the early days following birth can be a game changer for your feeding journey. When you arrive home, things feel very different. It can feel scary and deeply emotional bringing a new baby home with the feelings of worry and concern about baby feeding enough and maintaining their birth weight or loosing weight. Please reach out as i can help you.

Guidance with positioning and latch so your baby is able to feed well.
Explain the way breastfeeding works and guide you with best practice.
Guidance with different ways to attach your baby to the breast.
Discuss realistic expectations of having a newborn, what is or isnt normal.
Guide you with your babys needs and listen to your concerns.
Answer any questions you may have in the early days.
Traditional Postpartum Care
This can be booked alone or as part of our Postpartum Package.
We are not supposed to do motherhood alone.
As a traditional postpartum doula and yoga teacher, my offerings are wide and very dependent on your needs. In essence, I arrive with an open heart and ear and a warm tea. I aim to ensure you feel feel held, supported and looked after through offerings including:
Nourishing teas and herbs,
Abdominal and foot massage using specific oils,
Belly wrapping,
Recipes for nourishing postpartum meals,
Space to land after your baby is born,
Local support and information,
Education on your physical experiences and ways to support your recovery, Techniques to support your pelvic floor, abdominal separation and breathing,
And perhaps most importantly, a space where you are listened to and heard.
A Mother Space Gatherings
A fortnightly gathering for mamas with babies up to one year.
This is a nurturing and supportive space for you to come with your baby and gather with other mothers. A non-judgemental space to meet, chat, listen and be heard. A community to support each other through the initial weeks and months of motherhood. We celebrate the wins and hold space for the tough times.
We eat cake, drink tea, breathe, chat, laugh, cry. It’s a real village, because it takes a village.
Fortnightly on Tuesdays 1.30-2.45pm in Winchmore Hill, N21
Postnatal Yoga
Group or 1:1 classes available.
These mum-focused classes are dedicated to helping you rebuild core and pelvic strength, ease achy shoulders and back and find some time to breathe. We work through a flowing movement practice designed specifically for new mums, with time to interact with your baby (if they are awake!). It allows you time to connect with your breath, develop techniques to relax, and find a space to restore and re-energise together.
The space is yours to feed, change and engage with your baby as you need. Sleeping, crying or laughing - all babies are welcome! Classes are intentionally small, with a maximum of 6 mums, and there is time and space to chat with others if you wish to. You can join us from 6 weeks +
Birth Trauma Therapy
Trauma can go on to affect your emotional and mental wellbeing, your relationships and even bonding with your new baby.
Claire is trained to work with a particular process to overcome the feelings of disappointment, failure, shock and emotional anguish. If you are feeling any of the below please reach out for an initial chat.
The inability to talk back through your experience with ease.
Distress when thinking back to the experience.
Deep fear should you be pregnant again and having to face it.
Flashbacks in the form of still or moving images.
A deep sadness or anger surrounding the experience.
Guilt and a sense of having been out of control.
You can feel more connected, more healed and open to creating change. Whether you are planning another baby in the future or simply need to move on.
Pregnancy After Birth Trauma
Considering going through pregnancy after experiencing a difficult birth can be terrifying. The thought of it can be enough to bring back memories, emotions and feelings associated with your previous birth or the postnatal period. I can work closely with you to overcome the fear and be able to move on feeling more in control and less scared. It can be tough to face up to however i will be there with you to guide you and support you through it. Once the process has been done within the three sessions together we will come back and see how you are now feeling towards birth.
The process is called The Three Step Rewind.
